There are 4 kinds of cards in Fluxx:
* Keepers: You put these out on the table in front of you when you play them.
* Goals: When someone plays a goal, it stays in the center of the table until a new goal takes its place. To win, you simply need to do whatever the goal says. Most of the time, the goal requires you to have a couple of particular Keepers on the table in front of you. As soon as any player achieves the current goal, that player wins!
* New Rules: This is where the fun really starts. When the game begins, the only rules are that you draw 1 card per turn and play 1 card per turn. But when you play a New Rule, these rules are either changed or added to. New Rules change the number of cards drawn and played per turn as well as the number of cards you are allowed to hold in your hand, the number of Keepers you can have, bonuses for players who have particular Keepers, and more.
* Actions: These are 1 time use cards that let you do fun stuff li… More >>

This game is pretty lame. There’s not much strategy involved, you never know if you’re close to winning or not. So you might play a game for 15 minutes without having a clue as to who’s doing well or not, and then all of the sudden you might win through no real effort on your part.

Shuffle Your cards and lets get started! O.K. My turn first. Hey! I have Death!
And an action. There’s a goal to. Draw! Yeah! Lets put down the rule I just
Drew. It’s the one that says draw 3 cards. Your turn. You draw, cackel maniacly,
and place down your action card. NO! It can’t be. (sob) It is! It’s, it’s, trade
hands! Goodbuy death. Dang, all you had was a ton of goals! My turn. A keeper!!
It’s time! I place it down after a quick kiss to the precious keeper. Now your turn.
You slowly draw, and place down a new rule. It’s a keeper limit of two. I quitely
swear under my breath, then take my turn.
It went on and on, that game did. You were good, but I was better! I won with the death card
(which I managed to get back)and war! Fluxx is crazy fun! I bring it to school all the time. During
homeroom, the girls and I have crazy fun. If you don’t own any version of
Fluxx, then you better get off your 244 (press shift and type these # to see
the word i’m saying) and buy this game, now!!

For me the jury is still out on this game. I only played one time and thought it was confusing. My kids and grand kids love it! Maybe it’s not intended for a 70 year old.

I bought found this off a clearance table at a bookstore a few years ago and it has become, by far, one of my all-time favorite games! Everyone, from my little brother to my fiance, LOVES this game! It is so portable, it comes on every trip I go on. I HIGHLY recommend this game to everyone – ESPECIALLY fans of games like UNO. It is always different, and never gets boring.

Totally Amazing game. Good for the odd goofy party game or when you would normally pull a deck out. Many of my friends are “addicted” to playing the game. Buy it! Endless hours of fun.
