I'm very "anti-loud-flashy-obnoxious-toys," but even though this makes noise it's at a very acceptable volume (on the low setting!) and not some annoying song about counting or something like most FP toys. I got this for my son for his 3rd birthday, and he loves it. The handle is great for him to drive it around and the countdown really excites him! I love to find toys like this that are durable and not made of a million cheap pieces, because I feel safe having my 9 month old around it too. My only complaint is the bottom hatch, where the moon buggy parks, is really hard to open and my son can't do it at all.

This was so worth the money. I bought this two years ago for my now 3-year-old. We have hardwood floors. Add those together and most toys would easy break under such conditions, but this toy has withstood many MANY hours of play.

My 4 year old son loves this toy and he plays with it almost every day since he got it. He stuffs in his other small toys as well and sends them to the space. It is a well constructed and durable toy, my only complaint is that the lower door keeps popping off.

My son has been watching NASA documentaries since his second birthday, so I worried that this would be too immature for him. However, he does enjoy playing make believe and still has some Little People that he plays with. So, at age four, we bought this for him based on all the other great reviews. We were not disappointed! He LOVES this and plays with it for hours. Our 1 1/2 year old loves it too!!

There is a lot of color and noise to attract the child. There are lots of hand's on spatial intellect promoters also. It was enthusastically received by a one and a three year old alike.
There's really not a lot of highlights with it. It had no instructions about how to use it, although it was simply put together and most of it was apparent. It did include batteries which was nice.
If I had it to do over, I would purchase it again. Even though I'm sure neither the 1 or the 3 year old yet really knows what the "Rocket" represents.
